Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) is a mobile telephony, broadband services and digital service company in India. It was known as Infotel Broadband Services Limited and later owned by Mukesh Ambani in 2007.Jio has started providing free Wi-Fi hotspot services in cities throughout India including Ahmadabad Surat in Gujarat, and Visakhapatnam in AndhraPradesh, Indore, Jabalpur, Dewas and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, select locationsof Mumbai in Maharashtra, Kolkata in West Bengal, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, Collectorate’s Office in Meerut, and at MG Road in Vijayawada among others.
Reliance Jio is offering attractive services to the consumer and is good initiative for creating a good marketing for the company. It offers a great data speed, call services and cover a large area of India. India has always been suffering from the poor internet connectivity and data scarcity. But by launching services like free voice calls, cheap data packages, the elimination of national roaming and its corresponding effect on competition not only eradicated data scarcity problem but also created a strong competition of other companies like Airtel, Idea, Vodafone etcetera. This company ensures a fair competition and it is a vital competition.
Reliance Jio is a new wave to telecommunication services. It is exploiting large gaps in price points to target specific users. We believe RJio’s launch will put pressure on tariffs rates for i who would now be decreased. Jio offerings are restricted to 4G handset subscribers which is limited in one aspect. It appears that the inevitable competition that Reliance has forcefully pushed the telecom industry towards will digitally empower India, even if it makes things very ugly for the sector’s fortunes over the next few years.
